John Xiu
John Xiu is currently a junior attending Sierra Canyon High School. He is interested in Political Science and is extremely passionate about research. He published three research papers on the topic of homelessness and has provided valuable insights into addressing this social issue. Besides research, he is also the editor-in-chief for Sierra Canyon High School Newspaper Team.

Ethan Gao
Ethan Gao is a senior at Sierra Canyon High School with a strong passion for scientific research and journalism. He has published two research papers—one on the mitigation of microplastic pollution in terrestrial soils and another on the pathogenicity of breast cancer predisposition genes. He is particularly interested in biology and public health, exploring how scientific advancements can address environmental and medical challenges.

Peter Paccone
Peter Paccone is a veteran high school social studies teacher with nearly 40 years of classroom experience and a member of the League of Exceptional Tutors, a nationwide organization that admits members by invitation only. In 2013, the Henry Ford named him one of America’s most innovative teachers, and in 2015, he was honored as California Social Studies Teacher of the Year by the California Council for the Social Studies. As both a classroom teacher and private tutor, Mr. Paccone specializes in preparing students for a range of AP Social Studies and AP English Language Arts exams. Whether he's guiding a student through a research-based museum exhibit, supporting a writing project, or helping them rediscover their academic voice, Mr. Paccone is committed to creating transformative, student-centered learning experiences.
